ITIC is created by the Government of Togo through decree N° 2012/218/PR of November 14, 2012 and is governed by law N°90 – 26 of December 04, 1990, and by its implementing decree N°91 – 197 of August 16, 1991. The establishment of ITIC initiates a focused approach by the Government of Togo aimed at accelerating economic growth and development of the economy of Togo. At the center of this approach is the development of a modern procurement, logistics, and development corridor running the length of Togo and servicing its economy and those in the hinterland.

ITIC Goals
In cooperation with the Regions, local and private entities, ITIC staff develops incentive packages to assist with existing business expansions and new company relocations in order to promote job creation and retention in all Regions of the Country. ITIC has oversight for the Strategic Fund, Identify and support specific programs and activities that assist Rural Economies.
Support economically distressed areas by providing Regional money which will be matched by local areas.
Assist Regional agencies in producing marketing materials and products that support ongoing business development efforts.
Develop and support events and activities that create business development leads and that promote Togo Nationally and Internationally.
